Shadow of the Tomb Raider- Day of the Dead
I got to work with a lot of talented artists on this level, Dannie Carlone, Steve Mortensen and Matt Krotenberg just to name a few. I was a map lead for this particular level and figured out the preliminary flow for the level. Dannie helped finish it off as I focused on creating the mood and feel and focused on finishing the lighting.

Many moons ago, I did a lighting test for Crytek. I taught myself the lighting pipeline in Cryengine from scratch. The brief was to light the level in 3 different lighting scenarios of my choice for the exterior areas and 1 cave interior. To this day, I look back fondly on this test. Cryengine was def ahead of it's time with lighting at the time.
Before I start lighting any area, I always create a moodboard.
Here's my version of a foggy day.
Here's my version of an early morning.

Metal Gear Solid 5
Finally, I can show what I've been working on. Worked on most of the cinematic lighting in this trailer, it was a nice change of pace from doing a lot of level lighting.

GOW: Ascension Statue Level
Here is some lighting I did on the various parts of the Statue level. This was a huge level that you went in and out of multiple times. It presented some challenges, because going in, it would look nice, but then coming back the opposite way, it would look bad, so I had to do a lot of balancing with this one. Shane Estanislao and Jose Zavala were the Environment Artists on these sections. Good job you guys :)
God of War: Ascension Delphi
Here are some examples of the lighting I did on Delphi in GOW: Ascension. Awesome modeling & texturing work by my friend, Alvin Chung. There were a lot of others that contributed to making this level as a whole complete. Making games takes a lot of collaboration between a lot of disciplines and it's amazing when it all comes together!
